White Room

26. “White Room” was written by Jack Bruce and Pete Brown. The song paints a surrealistic picture of a white room with black curtains near a station. The setting is an apartment not an asylum as many believe. This song, first recorded by Cream in 1968, is about depression and hopelessness and may be one of rocks best metaphors for the zeitgeist of 2020.
