No one ever sang with more passion, putting her heart and soul into every line. Her early life was not easy. She was constantly picked on as a teenager and struggled most of her life for acceptance. When Janis sang “Turtle Blues”, having to live under a hardened shell, she wasn’t just mouthing words, she was singing autobiographically.
