147. “Wooly Bully” was a huge hit for Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs. It was written by Samudio Domingo and the first American record to sell a million copies during the British Invasion. The song was recorded at the Phillips Recording in Memphis -- the same studio that recorded Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison.
