187. Jimmy Buffett wrote “Margaritaville” in Key West Florida after, as rumor has it, wasting away in Mexico on the lime drink. The song has come to symbolize a carefree lifestyle among his fans, known as “parrotheads”, and a common theme of his concerts. My little sister is among them.
