182. “That Black Snake Moan” is a song by blues guitarist Blind Lemon Jefferson. The snake represents personal demons. For Jefferson the demon may have been his blindness.

 “Black Snake Moan” was juried into the Society of Illustrators annual exhibition in New York and included in their annual, Illustrators 66.
